Thinking activity : Education and Technology

1) Why is it necessary to use Technology in Education?

Now a days it is necessary to use technology in Education because there are many benefits of using technology like education become more interesting, gives clear ideas, etc. If we are not using it in Education so we are outdated teacher, we can't say that we are living in 21st century.

2 What is the difference between ‘using’ and ‘integrating’ technology?

‘Using technology’ is more of an option at need. It is rare and arbitrary. We as a Digital Migrant never give that prior importance to technology than any other knowledge resources. It is rarely used in classroom for sharing information (usually it remains prohibited to use any techno-gadgets in school or college classrooms). At the other side ‘Integrating technology’ is planned and purposeful use of it. As well it is remain routine environment of classroom. First it was mostly using by instructors and now it is being majority used by learners and students. It is now student centered rather than teacher centered. Thus, now technology has been moved from peripheral to center.

3 How can we integrate technology?

To integrate technology is to become habituated with it at most of the usages. In academics: Blogs, PowerPoint presentations, quizzes as well few activities like flipped learning, flinnt learning are useful; which too provides group or collaborative learning from distance. I must say it first starts with teachers who are allowed withal they allow their students to use technology and deal with it for academic purposes.

(4) Can Technology replace Teacher ?

This is the age in which human are replaced by technology. There is so many place in which the place of human beings are taken by machine and technology. But in education , the place of teacher is can not taken by anything. May be the place of teacher will be taken by technology but there will be still missing of emotion, feelings and interaction between student and teacher. After all its a machine which have programmed information. It never able to connect the things out of the box like teacher. Technology can provide information but when and how leaner should used that information in proper way it only taught by teachers.

(5) Write in brief on David Crystal's views on 'effect of new technologies on English language', 'biggest challenge for English language teachers in the times of internet', and 'texting is good for English language'.

David Crystal and support the argument that new technologies, rather than degrading as some would argue the English language actually enhance it, as they facilitate new pursuits by developing a new style of the English language. We find Crystal's observations about the influence on language of a particular technological medium very interesting. And also the idea of how a very minor change in a question, or sentence expecting a response, can so very dramatically influence the response itself and the language used.
It is also noteworthy what Crystal says about the timescale of observing the influence of technologies like the internet, and how it will take a very long time for us to actually see any prominent changes to the structure of the language- that it could be a relatively temporary phenomenon, but that we will not know for certain for a long .Teaching language change no question that is difficult always has been the difficulty with teaching, but its particularly a difficulty now given now that language is changing so fast is changing for tourism. one reason the internet which is indeed festering new varieties and new word. experience faster than ever before we know in the old day if you invented a new world It could generation before the rest of the world, new about that new world. Technology and texting brought abbreviation in  language. But it is only 10 percent other 90 percent language is standard English. In language the more one read and write, the more one can expertise it. And mobile and computer can be very useful for that.
