Structuralism and Literay Criticism -Gerard Genette

          Structuralism and literary criticism this essay is given by Gerard Genette , who was French literary theorist. Structuralism : It is the offshoot of certain developments in linguistics and anthropology.

               According to Saussure the sing us constituted by the "signifier" and "signified" signifier us the " Word" or the alphabets which are arranged in a particular order while the signified is the concept that the signifier stand for .

Here we find Gerard Genette narratology includes many sub parts like :
          
                1)Order
                2)Duration
                3) Voice
                4) Mood
                5) Frequency

    Order : This order concept totally the circumstances and the situation take place in the narration.

     Frequency : Frequency’s concept his according to the different order and different film text and etc.

    Duration : The separation between an event and narration means that there is  discourse time and narrative time.

     Voice : voice is concerned with who narrates, and from where. This can be split four ways.

   MOOD : Distance of the narrator changes with narrated speech and reported speech.

             In any film, T.V. serials and any literary text, we gnarly found that they (writer) followed some kind of structure or plot. We found that in serials like C.I.D. and Crime Patrol and Savdhan India, it follows same structure. In some other serial like Eketa Kapur’s serials like Kum Kum, Kahani Ghar Ghar ki and many others we found that fight between sasu and bahu, it is the structure of her serial. We also found same structure of all move of ‘Karan Johr’s move.
In our life we also follow one structure it is birth, climax (marriage) and death. Generally in serial ‘Balika vadhu’ and ‘Tu na ana es desh mari lado’ in both we found same structure.

         In this both of poem their are common thing told which is Fire and Ice and we can see this thing as many ways like fire is a symbol of passion and Ice is a symbol of careless. Also Fire and Ice is symbol of the seasons of summer and winter. Also one is a symbol of anger and another is symbol of  calmness.

      There is another thing is both are dangerous. Both have strength burn the thing and make anything lifeless. So they can't go together as this thing shows in this poems that in presence of fire ice can't dissolves and in the presence of ice make fire more heatable.
