Confronting reality by reading fantasy in Harry Potter

Reality vs Fantasy

 

 

Fantasy stories are commnly used to represent a particular reality that is present and visible in the society. Acoording to some critics the reason behind the novel  sccess in history its ability to create an utterly different world where extraordinary characters experiece oral problems. The stories are chock full of the right ingredients: quirky and courageous caracters, magic,humor and convincing bled of fantasy and reality.

 Harry is 10 year old in Rowling first books.One of the first thing learn about him is that his parents died when he was infant. he is being raised by an aunt and uncle who are dumb. They have seem like archetype of the evil stepmother as a representative of the Bad . What children see at the outset in the harry potter books is a lonely boy being raised by evil people and all parents seem evil to their children at least some of the time.Unknown to harry is that real father and mother who died when harry was baby were important sorcers who were killed by voldemort the evil genius of the story.Rowling adventures takes on primal quality that links it with many classic tales from "Great Expectation" to "Star Wars": there are a family secret and family struggle passed down from one generation to another and a lot of meaning comes when the true nature of that struggle is revealed.

 Hogwarts some what represent a typical bording school where student are discipline and taught live inside the school. one of the social issue present in te novel is discrimination. several philosophies in the novel have eminent  features that are similar to many philosophies i history.

  Using Good magic to fight Bad magic is major component of the plot.fiction and fantasy can be powerful vehicles of ideas and beliefs. The issue is not whether readers know the difference between reality and fantasy, but whether they realize that some things in these books are not fantasy and are used by real people in the real world as a good thing. 

Harry potter includes many allusion to reality that demonstrates extreme result due to its fatasy stories.
