Discourse on the Purity of Blood and Harry Potter

           One of the problems in the Wizarding world  is intolerance and prejudice based on the “purity” of a person’s wizarding blood. Wizards distinguish between purebloods, Muggle Blood and half blood. Sirius Black's parents and brother, were first drawn to support Voldemort because he preached a message of intolerance toward non-pure-bloods. Voldemort, who pushes a pure-bloods philosophy, is a half-blood himself. It is possible that his followers do not realize this, since Bellatrix acted as though Harry were uttering blasphemy when he mentioned that fact to her. It is also interesting, according to Dumbledore, that when Voldemort chose which child to attack of the two who fit the prophecy, Voldemort chose the half-blood like himself as being the more dangerous.The term ‘pure-blood’ refers to a family or individual without Muggle (non-magic) blood. The concept is generally associated with Salazar Slytherin, one of the four founders of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, whose aversion to teaching anybody of Muggle parentage eventually led to a breach with his three fellow founders, and his resignation from the school. Increasing numbers of wizards now preached that marriage with a Muggle did not merely risk a possible breach of the new Statute, but that it was shameful, unnatural and would lead to ‘contamination’ of magical blood.

Pure Blood

 Pure blood is the term for Wizard and witches who claim to have no Muggle or Muggle born.His parents and grand parents have no muggle.Ron is pure blood because his parents no muggle.Voldemort want his followers pure blooded. Longbottom, Malfoy,are also pure blooded.

Half Blood

 It should be noted that any wizard who is neither pure blood nor Muggle born is considered half-blood,Those who believe in the importance of blood purity consider half-bloods to be inferior because of their muggle heritage. Lord Voldeomort persecuted Muggles and Muggle-borns.The fact that voldeomort mother is pure blood and his father muggle born.Severes Snap is also example of Half Blood Prince because his mother became pure blood witch and his father muggle. Harry potter also the half blood.

Muggle

 Non-magic people, commonly known as Muggles. Harmaoine Granger is muggle because his parents have no know any magic.
